Considering that the Private Credit Information Bureaus (mostly known as CPICs) are auxiliary bodies of the Financial System, under the terms of article 21(c) of Law n.º 14/21, of 19 May, on the General Regime of Financial Institutions, the Data Protection Agency (APD) issued a Circular n.º 01/APD/2024 on 11 October, which guides the terms of information sharing and consultation between financial institutions and CPICs.

In compliance with the provisions of paragraph 3 of article 53 of Law nº. 22/11, of 17 June, the Board of Directors of the Angolan Data Protection Agency makes public that, through deliberations nº. 001, 002 and 003, dated April 30th and June 19th, respectively, the following entities were sentenced to pay a fine for violating personal data protection rules:

Suite à l’annonce des opérations de confection de la Carte Nationale d’Identité Electronique (CNIE), le Président de l’Autorité pour la protection des données à caractère personnel et de la vie privée (APDPVP) a échangé ce mardi 24 octobre avec le Ministre délégué à l’Intérieur. Ce, afin d’obtenir des explications sur les tenants et les aboutissants de cette opération générant la collecte des données de la population. 

C’est dans l’enceinte du Tribunal de Première Instance de  Libreville que s’est tenue le mardi 08 aout 2023 l’audience solennelle de prestation de serment devant la cour de cassation du collège des Commissaires permanents de l’Autorité pour la Protection des Données Personnelles et de la Vie Privée (APDPVP).

Le Secrétaire Général de la Présidence du Faso, M. Mathias TRAORE, a officiellement installé le 07 septembre 2023 à Ouagadougou, Mme Halguièta NASSA/TRAWINA, dans ses fonctions de Présidente de la CIL.
