APD participates in the 4th Meeting of the Committee on Digital Trade of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA)

Represented by the Director of the Legal Office, Njunjulo António, APD participated in the 4th Meeting of the Committee on Digital Trade of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), held in hybrid format from 9 to 12 October 2023 in Kigali, Rwanda.

 

Protection of Personal Data: Staff training and sharing of awareness-raising materials dominate the cooperation agreement signed between APD and ANPDP

The personal data protection agencies of Angola and São Tomé and Príncipe, represented by their Chairpersons, Maria das Dores Pinto (APD) and José Manuel Costa Alegre (ANPDP), initialed, this last Thursday, (15 June), a partnership agreement, with the aim of promoting a greater public culture on privacy and protection of personal data.

 

Private Credit Information Bureaus: APD carries out a 5-day study visit in Europe

The Angolan Data Protection Agency “mostly known as APD” is the regulatory authority of the Private Credit Information Bureaus in Angola. The Private Credit Information Bureaus (CPIC) are an extensive database, which will include all relevant payment history of Angolan consumers, with the main objective of analyzing consumption habits and, consequently, improving decisions in granting credit.
